For more than 15 years Mothers & More has been offering a sense of community to women altering their careers over the course of their active parenting years.  The Southside Richmond chapter offers socializing opportunities to meet other Moms, discussions, playgroups, family events and more!

Evening Chapter Meetings

The Southside Richmond chapter holds meetings on the 1st Thursday of each month from 7:00 to 9pm.  Meetings tend to alternate between speakers and discussions.  Meetings are held at Cafe Caturra in Midlothian.  Guests may attend two meetings before deciding to join.

Previous Meeting Topics Include:

- What's Your "Type" - Understanding the Myers Briggs Types

- Cake Decorating

- Children and Food Allergies

- What Every Mother Needs to Know about Managing Finances

- Getting Organized

- Yoga

- Shortcut Suppers

Playgroups

We have large playgroups that meet in a public place and smaller playgroups meeting in member's homes.

Moms Night Out

Once a month (usually the 3rd Thursday) we get together at a restaurant or member's home for a Mom's Night Out -- no kids and no husbands.

Previous Events Include:

- Paint & Play Pottery

- Baker's Crust

- Sunday's at Brandermill

- The Metling Pot

- Holiday Party

Mom and Tot Outings

Through out the month we have a group outing with the kids.  Some of our favorite spots are the Children's Museum of Richmond, the Richmond Zoo and the Chesterfield Berry Farm.

Sunshine Committee

For members who have just had a baby, we provide dinners for their families after the grandmothers have gone back home. Meals can also be provided for other mothers in need, such as those who have suffered a death in the family or other needs.

Volunteer Opportunities

By volunteering for one of our Board Positions members can keep their skills current or acquire new ones.  Volunteer opportunities are also available at the National level of the Mothers & More organization.
